Where can we go before or after our Dungeon Hire?If you are considering a Kinky City Break this area of London is a perfect location from which to explore the rich London Fetish Scene and also the more conventional tourist attractions.
The area around the dungeon has many fascinating places to explore which you could combine with your visit. If you are a visitor to London this external link; Tower Hamlets may be of help in planning your visit: We are are only a short journey away from London's Theatre Land: the "West End" sometimes referred to as Soho; its only seven tube stops from Bethnal Green to Leicester Square. The dungeon is very much nearer to the very fashionable Shoreditch, Hoxton and Brick Lane areas. The area around the dungeon has many fashionable restaurants bars and clubs to explore. It's a much more exciting area to explore than the west end.. We are along side Victoria Park and Regents Canal, and a short distance from the 2011 Olympic Park. If you need over night accommodation see here. London has many fetish clubs to choose from and the dungeon is ideally situated to prepare for a visit to a club. We list some clubs in our Listings Section. Being situated so centrally, London Dungeon HireTM provides a perfect launch point, for those who have the energy, to continue their adventures. You could get totally in the mood and just continue your scene at a club or other venue. The possibilities are mind boggling!! A good place to meet before your hire for a coffee or an all day Breakfast is Cafe Tres After your hire however you might just want to go for a quiet drink and a meal whilst you relax in your after glow. Please check these links for availability and suitability. During the Day the the Pavilion Cafe in nearby Victoria Park is very pleasant particularly on a sunny day with an outside seating area over looking the lake and fountain. The Bistrotheque is just 5 minutes walk away and is a most swanky cosmopolitan bar and upstairs restaurant in a very unusual location. Entertainment is also available there. Or a short cab drive (5 minutes) you can find the cosy and more conventional Solche Cilician "Mediterranean" restaurant, (1 Broadway Market, E8. 0207 249 87990) Opposite the Solche Cilician you will find the equally attractive La Vie en Rose Southern French Restaurant 2 Broadway Market 0207 249 9070 Or an equally close distance you could try the The Premises Cafe ( The Premises Studios 201-209 Hackney Road , E2 , Tel: 0207 684 2230) based in a local recording studio and full of interesting (often very well known) musicians and arty types. One of our favourite restaurants is the Thai Room at Bow Wharf just a very pleasant ten minute walk along the canal on a Summer Evening. Not the cheapest local venue but surely one of the better ones! Our very local Indian restaurant: Al Amin is a favourite with us or if you want the full on East End experience go for a curry up Brick Lane, a ten minute cab ride away and lots of fun! If you want a real treat (and money is no limit) try Lounge Lover and/or les trois garcons both a 5 minute cab drive away. The Dove in Broadway Market is full of delightfully fashionable young people, serves bar food and has a restaurant. The Royal Inn on the Park in Victoria Park is a short (very pleasant in the Summer) walk away, serves food and has an attractive beer garden. The Crown is also along side Victoria Park and only a few minutes walk away from the dungeon through the park (or around it). According to the list on this link there are 1069 pubs within 3 miles of Bethnal Green Tube Station. This link shows 3977 pubs within 10 miles of Cambridge Heath Station. Phew! So no going thirsty around here! Off Broadway is a delightful fashionable Bar in Broadway Market and serves Mexican food and amazing cocktails. The Approach Tavern in Approach Road is a good popular traditional local boozer, 5 minutes walk away from the dungeon. It has an eclectic cosmopolitan cliental drawn in by its art gallery upstairs. The Hare is a local no frills traditional pub 5 minutes walk away and very near Cambridge Heath Station The Crown opposite the lake and fountain in Victoria Park is a more expensive option and the customers reflect the prices. Very pleasant atmosphere inside or sit outside and watch the world go by. The Comedy Cafe is a ten minute cab drive from the dungeon situated in the very fashionable Hoxton and Shoreditch area. Food and Drink with a programme of stand up Comics most nights of the week. Jongleurs at Bow Wharf, a pleasant walk along the canal tow path or a 5 minute cab drive, comedy pub, food and entertainment. SPA London is a fantastic resource in nearby York Hall offering a wonderful range of health and beauty treatments. The perfect way to unwind and rejuvenate your spirits before or after a dungeon session! |
